WE LIKE SIDRERÍA POMA BECAUSE OF:
– Their unique environment, which makes you feel in Asturias without ever leaving Ibiza.
– Their delicious cachopo, their Asturian fabada, and their cider.
– Toño and his team are very friendly.
– Their cellebration of Asturias Day (8th of September). Usually it´s on the first weekend of September.iembre. Insured fun, among cider, typical Asturian food, pipers and the best company.
Located in the centre of the city of Ibiza, between the Plaza del Parqueand Vara de Rey, Sidrería Poma has become the place to go for Asturian visitors and Asturian gastronomy lovers. From their traditional fabada to their variety of Asturian cheese boards, and their delicious fresh cider. Everything in this restaurant makes us feel as if we travelled to Asturias to discover the flavours of its cuisine.
Sidrería Poma is open throughout the entire year. You are always welcome to visit their big terrace where you can enjoy their gastronomic offer outdoors. The simple decoration of the place reminds us of the authentic cider house style we can find in any corner of an Asturian city. Toño, the owner from Oviedo, started this adventure in 2014. Sidrería Poma opened its doors in Santa Eulalia, and they moved to the centre of the city of Ibiza later on. The menu includes a wide selection of tapas and main courses, including meat cuts with an Asturian designation of origin. A bit of advice: ask for the chef’s suggestions and the dish of the day.
In Sidrería Poma they have a solid customer base since they started. People come to the Sidrería looking for their typical Asturian dishes, such as octopus, “tortos al cabrales”, cider sausages, or “cachopo”, among many others. One of the aspects we enjoy the most about this restaurant is that you can go there to enjoy an authentic gastronomic tribute, or to have a few tapas with a glass of wine or a beer. Of course, cider lovers will also be able to enjoy this homemade drink, which Toño himself brings from his home town. Toño and his team will also be happy to teach you how to pour cider like a true Asturian, although you can also use the pumps you will find in the restaurant.
If you are thinking about enjoying a meal at Sidrería Poma Ibiza, bear in mind that all dishes are “Asturian size”, that means they serve very generous portions. The place has a huge TV screen, which attracts the many sports fans who come to enjoy soccer, particularly Real Oviedo’s matches. So, if you feel that Asturian call, you are always welcome to cheer for their team at Sidrería Poma.
