The second international gastronomic encounter of the island “We Are Facefood 2019” will gather four Michelin Star winners as well as authentic stars of every gastronomic area, such as service or marketing.

This Friday March 15 Agroturismo Atzaró welcomes back We Are FaceFood: the second international gastronomic encounter of Ibiza. For the second year in a row, this will be a meeting point for all professionals in the HORECA sector (hospitality industry, restoration and catering) of the island.

‘We Are FaceFood’ has an entire program of presentations:

We Are FaceFood Ibiza 2019 will include presentations by some of the best known faces of the international cuisine, such as Oliver Peña (Enigma Restaurant, Barcelona, one Michelin star), who will offer a presentation at 16:30 called “Enigma, a natural evolution”. Roberto Ruiz (Punto Mx Restaurant, Madrid, one Michelin star) will also be there to offer a presentation at 12:30 called “the complexity of transforming Mexican cuisine into a Michelin star”. Another guest will be Joâo Rodrigues (Feitoria, Lisbon, one Michelin star) who will offer a presentation at 13:00 about his “project Matter”. Finally, Carles Abellán (Bravo, Tapas 24, ENA, La Barra de Carles Abellán… one Michelin star), will also be there at 17:00 to talk about the process of creation and management of all of his gastronomic brands in his presentation “Carlos Abellán Brands”.

Another remarkable presentation of the event will be given by a very important figure in the service area. We are talking about Xavi Alba, head waiter at Tickets, who will offer a presentation called “The lounge, a new look?” at 15:00. Lastly, Borja Beneyto (Brandelicious), will offer a talk at 15:30 about “the disruption and the trends in the food-service on a global level”. Jesus Trujillo, director of Facefood Mag will close the event at 17:45.

Other activities in We Are Facefood Ibiza 2019:

An important novelty this year is that We Are Facefood will have its own mercat eivissenc, with typical products such as wine, oil, cold meats, honey, potatoes, greens, nuts, bread, pastry, etc. Also, at 11:30 there will be a demonstration by Arrom of how to skin and fillet an entire tuna.

For this second edition, We Are Facefood (WAFF) has shown growth in every sense of the word, but especially when it comes to the 32 premium brands that will use this event as a great opportunity to make their products known.
