If you think there’s nothing to do during winter in Ibiza, we are going to prove you wrong with this article. We’ve brought you the best plans to enjoy this winter on the White Island.
Cañas & Rock. Every Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays from November 26th to December 17th, San Josep de Sa Talaia organizes this gastro-musical show in multiple bars and restaurants. Beer and tapas at affordable prices and mini-burguer contests with the best background rock music. You can’t miss out!
After Work. Friday afternoons are to celebrate, so come around Café Montesol, Agroturismo Atzaró or Ocean Drive hotel as soon as you get out of work! They organize ‘After Work’ parties so you can have the best start for your weekend.
Let’s brunch! If Fridays are to give your weekends the best start possible, you should say goodbye to your weekends the same way. Brunch is becoming really trendy around the island. Some restaurants, such as Cotton Lounge Club, Café Montesol, Café Sidney or the It, organize them from 11AM until 5PM.
A little bit of party never hurt nobody… If you still miss summer nights, during the winter some discos like Sankeys and Pacha have really great parties every weekend. But don’t forget about Ibiza city pubs , for instance Café Malanga or La Musa -among others- where you can find parties for everyone.
Language exchanges. This is the best way to meet new people during winter at the same time you practice your language skills. Get in ABLA Ibiza group and find out about all the events happening around the Island. Besides, places like Hipérbole cafeteria or Food Factory restaurant organize language exchanges during the winter too.
Ice skating. Skaters and rollerblade lovers are lucky, because from December the 2nd until January the 7th Ibiza city will have its own icerink, placed on Parque Reina Sofía. Behind this initiative is the Asociación de Comercio Minorista (PIMEFF), which translates as Retail Asociation, that will give free passes to small businesses to gift their customers during Christmas.
Funny nights. Comedy monologues are a classic plan on wintery Thursdays on the Island. Keep an eye on Teatro Pereyra and Kokotxa Ibiza’s program.
Meditation. Take advantage of winter’s calm to open yourself to meditation. From not so long ago, Ibiza has had its own centre focused towards teaching and practicing meditation and other disciplines such as mindfulness. Visit ‘Medita Ibiza‘ if you want more information.
Exhibitions. If you are an art lover, keep an eye on the Contemporary Art Museum (MACE)’s agenda. They offer many different exhibitions during the year .
Markets. Winter is also the perfect time to enjoy our street markets, and it’s even better if we come across a bargain! 😉
Theatre. It is an usual complaint Ibiza is lacking on its cultural offer. If you don’t compare us with Madrid’s Gran Vía or New York’s Broadway (we’re a small Island after all) you can enjoy plays and shows all year long in Ibiza too. And if you don’t belive us, look up Can Ventosa theatre’s programme.
Gastronomic championships. Any excuse is good enough to organize a cook contest, am I right? Don’t miss out the alioli’s one in Forada (December 10th) , and the arroz de matanza’s one in San Antonio.
